About Me

My current title is Security Engineer at PullString, Inc, where our goal is to enable synthetic computer conversations through our professional authoring environment. As a member of the Infrastructure Team, my work focuses on developing new features and implementing security best-practices for our cloud-based platform.

Prior to joining the startup world, I was Principal Member of Technical Staff with the Scalable and Secure Systems Research department at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, California. My research interests broadly include computer and network security, applied cryptography, and embedded systems security.

Going even further back in time, I completed my Ph.D. in September 2010 at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine. During this time I worked on various security issues, including, secure resource management and key establishment for Delay-Tolerant Networks under the supervision of Dr. Gene Tsudik.
